They use Zulu time http://zulutime.net like the military... not that its just another name for the same thing.

Thanks Deyn, I am familiar with Zulu Time, was in the Royal Engineers for 6 years :P

Didn't know NASA used it though. :)

It's basically UTC (Co-ordinated Universal Time, called UTC because of the French translation of it).

It is used by the Military to ensure that operations around the World can be carried out at the same time if needs be.

I think the Zulu reference is something to do with the Phonetic Z and zone time, though I could be wrong, maybe I should have looked it up before answering :P
