Doing my best to not get excited about this LOL It was the one feature I was really disappointed was missing from the first release. I hope that they do get it a seamless transition though.

So how will this work for those that don't partake in the expansion? Will buying the expansion open up say 'landing thrusters' as an option? Or a higher rating of thruster that can deal with takeoff under high gravity?

I have failed, I am now REALLY excited!

I want that thruster shutdown noise to be in the game too!!! Although there doesn't appear to be any atmosphere for the sound to travel through... (nit pick, nit pick LOL)

I can't wait till SC comes and shows FD how to do this! They would NEVER make us pay for something like <insert example here> (but ignore the ship sales on a game that is not released yet).

@Loriath It is like they forget that there is no subscription so how else could Frontier make their money? I've always had to pay for expansions. Although I do think the last one was Half-Life 2 Episode 2 (sigh... still waiting for HL3 or EP3 - whats with Valves aversion to '3' LOL)

To me this is the equivalent of them coming out with Elite:Dangerous 2. I think Grand Theft Auto players are ok with buying one every couple of years, are they not?

My only concern is that there have been some real nagging bugs that have not received the attention they deserve. For example the "Can't enter a system name with more than one space" on the Galaxy map. Instancing would be another. Things like this need to be addressed.
