Elite Dangerous Now On Steam!

I just happened to be looking through Steam and came across Elite Dangerous, just released today!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/359320/This is great news and should bring a whole bunch of new players into ED.
The obvious question asked will be about getting steam keys for existing users.
I hope they do allow it but according to Michael Brookes on the ED forum "That isn't an option at the moment."

Awesome, wasn't sure it was going to be released on Steam.

Awesome, but now I feel like I didn't have to spend $59.99 on it, lol, not that I mind supporting, but I'm sure it will be $10 on some super steam sale any day now.

I feel the 60 bucks I paid as a beta player should get me grandfathered into steam for free.
Showing a little love to those who trusted them enough to pay full price for a half finished game wouldn't hurt.
Steam is my main gaming portal, and id love to see it record how many hours I've squandered on ED.

Yeah started playing this game due steam, i knew about the game but wasnt 100% sure, saw it on steam and thought heck why not ill give it a bash, and loving it so far ^^
I tend to pick steam releases over others no idea why, probably just having everything at one spot is good for my ocd
