An official topic that our community needs to have a say on

this is something that affects you and your group, a very vocal minority in the all group have kicked up enough stink to warrant a separate topic.
basically the topic is around stripping community goal rewards for those who play in solo or private groups. we as a community need to be the vocal majority on this topic and as such I ask you to look at the question and post a reply, personally I feel that the all group have far to many benefits over the solo or private group players already and changing the community goals for those who do not play in open, even if you don't partake in any community goals what happens here may change how your game is played in the future, so get involved.

Done. The opportunities to Wing up are far less in Group and non existent in Open so I think that balances it. That's my angle anyway.

Wrote my own little piece. Going more into the misconception of "open", "private" and "solo", and then a little of my distaste of the way those community goals are presented at the moment.

I sincerely hope the devs won't get influenced by this ever present very loud minority that is all about meta gaming, kill mails, competitions, leaderboards, domination. I fear for the spirit of the game.

Done.

As I have said in my piece, FD need to understand that PVP is not a majority activity, that other much larger and longer running MMOs have shared goals without forced PVP, and that FD a treading are dangerous path if they create a two tier game that will simply force players away.

An admin should banner this on the front page so that it doesn't get lost or overlooked.

I get the feeling that the official FD stance on this is that there is no difference to rewards between different modes of play. Not trade profits, not bounties, not mission rewards, not exploration data sales, not combat bonds and not community goals. FD are not going to favour one set of players over another just because a vocal majority think they deserve it more.

When the console versions get released expect to see threads detailing why PC players deserve better things and expect FD to ignore them.

Do you have a reliable source for that fact?

It's not a 'fact' it's an opinion, this didn't come across in my summary here, and I related it to computer games in general, not specifically ED. But if you look at all the games currently available, the number that are PVP orientated are in the minority.

Look at any PC games chart and non-PVP specific games are in the majority.
