Loads of stuff to learn......
But wanted to give it a shot.......
Got a few things wrong......
Work piece not secured enough so it moved......
Wrong tool........
Wrong material.......Just the first thing I grabbed.......
Wrong Z feed speed......
Wrong pull off height....
But I'll get there.......
Anyway first attempt.....With finger hovering over emergency stop button......

Second attempt.........
Resized and feed rates altered........

how do you think one of these would do at carving wax? I'm thinking of getting one to make wax positives for casting

Not sure what tool you would use for that as wax would clog it rather quickly......I would think.....

Now working on a switch holder for my Warthog repair should Thrustmaster come through with jack shit......
I first tried it in MDF for the basic layout testing and that seemed OK at the fourth attempt......
So tonight I thought I would try some plastic.......Never used it before...So different settings
Especially spindle speed I wanted to cut the plastic not melt it.......

Quite pleased with it....A nice tight fit......
Obviously I would have to cut around it to match where it was going......
But that'll do for now.......

Well I do have all the interfaces.....Joysticks and buttons as I have built a few arcade panels in the past.......
Bit big to mill on my machine though......
Don't think I could even manage a bartop.........

Carve a fleet carrier with four ukking hangers, so you can see what it looks like from the outside.
