It's a complete load of bat-guano.
(techinically guano is bat feces so saying bat-guano is bit like saying bat bat-shit).

Nah I sort of like a bit better than the first one, seem to be a few more normal cars than in the first one, like the lambo's and ferrari's.
In the first, practically all the cars I tried was some special hyper tuned version of a street car or just outright racing cars where the throttle pedal might as well just have post-it stuck to it labeled "FUCK YOU!".

My largest problem so far is my wheelstand is a little to malleable, in order to brake 100% on the g29 I have to hold the wheel so hard it pulls it down and towards me.

Resulting in the wheel (with its independent and force full motors) come closer and closer to my lap and the family jewels..
Getting wacked in the nards coming out of a turn by your own wheel is a special kind of sad..

I would need to build something.

The "FU" throttle was more of an issue with the first one, I would hit the throttle on a straight road and just start spinning wildly and careen into something initially behind me.
Granted havent tried this with the forumla type cars etc in 2, granted those types of cars are kind of supposed to want to kill you.

As for mods, I might try getting something a bit more rigid first, at least a setup where my chair isn't moving quite so much.

Also, one thing I forgot to mention last night.

The dials and HUD in general is vastly improved from the first one in VR.
In the first the HUD was nigh unusable, but not a single dial or speedometer in the various cars was remotely readable, no matter what you did.

Just had 20 minutes in the "oh shit, oh shit" in the good way.
Started off with me having a test in the Formula X car on pcars 2 on the long Nurnburg circiut, and for shits and giggles I tend to set current dates and times and weather to "REAL".

Weather is fine, but it was a little dark (practically pitch black some places) in germany at 1800 today, and no lights on this thing.
But oh shit that car...
I thought it might be fairly similar to the Formula A and it is in top speed, but the acceleration and cornering on this thing...

Coming down a black forrest stretch at 250+kph, sort of seeing the corner (mostly due to having racing lines still on) everything else is pretty much dark as fuck and the lines are still green...
As in I should be going faster...
Now combine this with the usual "it want's to kill you in first. And in second, in third, fourth and over, the speed will just kill you for it".
This is not a friendly car.

Utterly surreal I know, but kind of happy I'm not dead after that.

Overall, so far all the little niggles I had with Pcars1 seem almost gone from the second, it's just improved everywhere compared to the old, especially in VR.

I should have bought the wheel a while back....I saw it on special.....£129...And that was with the shifter......

Then when I started seriously looking at it...It was £175 on amazon.....

But since that day it has only increased......Cheapest now is £219 at PCworld......

I might wait for black Friday and see what happens......

I'm in no real hurry....Stand should be here tomorrow....Well should have been here today, but FedEx lied.....
