And I'm also happy you're not Dawg.......

Ones enough.......Two would be a feckin nightmare.......

Could be right about the handbrake there.....

Think I'll just stick to a button on the wheel for now and see how much I use it......

Roll on Black Friday.......

Prices are still not moving in the right direction...... :(

For pcar's it would be near superflous.
Unless you just want to of course.
Most of the racing GT cars etc don't even have a handbrake so the button does nothing.
Mostly only the road cars and rally cars that has it.

Hope you get that wheel soon, I need a driving instructor...

Yep, that there looks like fun. But obviously the second buggy had shitty vertical thrusters. The first one looked like it could have managed a backflip with a little more thrust.

So you managed to get the recording to not look down and to the left while in the Rift?

No it is, same as with ED actually, it just looks a lot less weird with this game than with Elite, and you can still see the horizon of the road, mostly.

There is a spot where I lean over to the right in the Caterham and that's me taking a peak at the front suspension, which I could see perfectly with my right eye.

Well that was a surprise.......

Going through the crap in the garage and found an old Sammy arcade panel......It's the one on the left....

► Show Spoiler

I have the whole front panel...Looks like a belt driven FFB wheel in there......But notice on the right.....It has one of these....

► Show Spoiler

Now that might come in handy.......

Wheel is only 270 degrees.....

Just wondering if I should rip the shifter out or Ebay the lot...Not sure how much it would go for though.....

But no wheel yet ?

Aren't you doing this a bit backwards ?

Well you as well as anyone should know, as long as it can send a key impulse to a computer the rest is just software.
It could be a very neat way to do some things like landing gears, cargo hold, or even disable flight assist.

I might have to wait a little to get my shifter.

Ended up pledging to the Pimax 8k kickstarter...

Yes I am doing this backwards....

But the wheel stand price dropped and The shifter I got for under a £100 with a special deal....

Wheel has not moved in price only upwards....

So it looks like it will be a search around on Black Friday

And yes that Pimax looks interesting....

*Edit*

The shifter is really nice.....But the shift is like my van.....I prefer a short shift like my sports car.....

So I'll probably mod it at some point.....

*Edit Part Deux*

Just taken the top off.....

I reckon I could possibly mod it with 2 old credit cards......

We'll see....

The money he spends to play with his knob....

You know, you could pick up a Cheapo wheel and actually play for a while until you get the one you want. I am sure 20 quid will do it.

Well, the g920 or g29 are actually £300 wheels, the $230 IS the discounted price.
I actually don't think you will get a BF deal much better than £20 off the current price, remember it's common practice for stores to jack up prices before black friday so the actual sale price isn't much different from the rest of the year, it just looks like it's 50% off cause three weeks ago it was 150%. So for most consumer electronics, Black friday is a total rip off.

As for buttons.
I use the d-pad for the in game car menu, those few occasions I actually use it and a toggle hud button.
Rest I leave up to VoiceAttack.
