Hey I'm Thor -
People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

I don't know wtf you are talking about, but this reminds me how much I hate drum solos.

Though I do love drums, play air drums every day, and have seen both of them in concert.
It's time to give this another go.

In wing I was talking about Peart being a technical drummer and Bonham playing with feel and slightly off the wall.....

Both of them make mistakes in that clip.......

Which I did when playing......And beat myself up for.......

But it was pointed out to me....

That the only people who will notice are other drummers.......

If there are any in the audience......

And if there is.....

They aint gonna be sober.....

So don't worry......

If you like Peart you can't be half-bad after all. ;)

I've heard the same comparison made between Peart & Stewart Copeland. I grew up listening to the Police, and picked up on Rush a little later.

Like this (from Stewart himself):
Stewart Copeland wrote:There was a time when bands like Rush were the epitome of what The Police were theoretically against, which was an overemphasis on musicality. Our ethos in the early days was about the primal scream and that musical technique was a distraction from that mission. There may have been a few comments that I might have made regarding Rush’s position on that debate, and it is really, really to Neil’s credit that he’s over that debate. And we get along great.
