Just saying. For rift owners.

Lone echo.

It's the equivalent of half life and portal. Only for vr.

Lone Echo seems to be getting top reviews. I am very tempted by it. Has anyone got that who can give me a nudge?

Been playing it all day but had to stop cause my legs where killing me.
Must have been standing somewhere beetween four or six hours today, something this nerd isn't entirely accustomed to these days.

It's all 0g movement, mostly grab any surface and push, with thrusters for fine navigation and a booster/stop in a thruster pack for long distances.

Also rocket sleds that you ride on, sadly not manually controlled.
Gameplay becomes a dance of pushing, floating and thrusting around the mining facility to analyse and fix various broken stuff.
I am Echo. Space handy man.

First things first.
It's a brilliant game, very well made. True AAA quality with a story line that progresses nicely throughout. Not just three minutes of premise, followed by arcade game play.
No it progresses nicely with decent development.
I truly get a similar feeling as from playing half life, or portal with this.
This will be THE game I would use to show off vr. And it is the first title to truly showcase what the whole deal is.

Did I mention rocket sleds ?

Okay sounds good. I did read about your painful legs. As I said in another thread, I am disabled and can't do standing for more than a very short period of time. Could you get away with sitting in a 360' swivel chair?

Wouldnt really need the swivel even most like.
Playing from a chair should be perfectly possible. I just found that on my office chair the arm rests could get in the way.

I was thinking of grabbing an ottoman or something to rest one while playing.
But it is probably best to stand. And certainly for me it can only be good so I actually attempt to make an effort of standing when playing VR games.
In fact this might do it better since you can always shift your height as needed.
So for instance with robo recall your height would get a little weird when seated, this is months case with echo.

Well I set my hight in the set up as 4 foot, even though I am 5'8". My office chair arms fold up if you do now want them, so that box is ticked too. So anyway I think you just talked me into it. :)

Got ReVive working, tested a couple of free Oculus games on the Vive. All is well so far.

Confirmed that Lone Echo works in ReVive.

Downloading Lone Echo now. :D
