Anyway, once Rift/Vive is sorted, the front bit becomes pretty much obsolete anyway.

WOW, that's the equivalent of a mortgage payment for a chair and a desk..
I would personally save the money for a VR unit.

Yeah, you better have some small monitors for that 4 foot wide desk. Good idea though.

I may have pre ordered one for delivery mid January

I figured with some bolt on mods I can make it work for my steering wheel as well
Only need room for two monitors one for game with track ir and one for paddling on the tinternet
