Notice to Elite Dangerous Commanders:

The Milky Way Galaxy Surgeon General has determined Shield Splashing is harmful to all male ground crew and may cause testicular cancer therefore all commanders should avoid hard landings.

Remember shield your balls boys no splashy splash.

Funny.

Even the docking computers slams you down at about 60ms.

Fighter jets slam into an aircraft carrier deck ideally at around 6-700 feet per minute descent rate.
That's a rough landing, and equate to 3 meters per second.

60 meters per second, well that's almost 12 000 feet per minute.

For anything to be considered soft, you should aim for 1/2, at most 1 meter per second descent rate.

Yeah those Jets hit hard amazing they do not break things. I like to pretend I'm flying a helicopter. I switched back to analog from digital setting it was to slow. The Hog Throttle has a couple nicely located controls for thruster movement. I'm flying the DBX for a few hours today heading out to a few mountain sites she is sweet to land so is the Python no more splashing. Landed on Happy Sunday tried to flog a case of Brandy but no-can-do. Dropped it outside as legal salvage then jumped into Lave can be funny there in open at times.
