Re: Need more CMDRs at RES Farm!

I'm now certain it's pretty much just dumb luck that's left with RES's. Gave it another shot now, this time just went to the other res in Iota (same planet) and without even re-triggering I get a steady stream of larger ships. I undocked at 1454, docked again at 1604 (so one hour and ten minutes). T...

Re: What is it That Makes Exploration so Interesting?...

I have only done a short trip (2000ly round trip to Barnard's loop) but exploration arent dangerous apart from two things, crashing into suns or running out of fuel, but this is true for k-space as well. Don't stress it, do like Kirk. Pick a direction and go :D Having good jump range is great but on...

Re: Need more CMDRs at RES Farm!

Been the same for me, but I'm getting a little bored with my t7 now. Traveled back to my vulture now, and couldn't see anything bigger than a cobra. I have had the same experience with high res, but they are after 1.3.04 (spawning more experienced ships so they are worth more) There was a couple of ...

Re: Need more CMDRs at RES Farm!

I'm not saying it doesn't make a difference, but it wasn't a waste of my time. In fact it was my most sucessful RES hunt post 1.3 :S There was also a few wings, I noticed particularily a python with a dual clipper escort which I attempted to engage, killed one of the clippers and then decided to bug...

Re: Opinions of GTX 960

the new GTX9xxx series is just a masterpiece of GPU hardware. The architecture is brand new and it uses way less energy to give you at least 40% boost (compared to other cards from the last generation) with no heat whatsoever. I don't know what tests/benchmarks you have been reading but performance...

Re: Why does the ship tell you to 'slow down' AFTER you can't actually slow down?!

And even with a little practice I have used planets to slow down when coming in a bit hot.
It's tricky but when it works it feels really satisfying.

I personally call it "gravity breaking".

Re: Lets get political - An open discussion on Powers and Factions

I have so far given a cursory glance at the various powers and so far I sum it up as "no, no way, BOOORING, nope".

I honestly can't find any reason to side with anyone at this point.

Re: Why does the ship tell you to 'slow down' AFTER you can't actually slow down?!

I have been wondering this exact thing for 330 hours of game time. ....

Closest I have gotten to anything sensible about this, is that the cruise drive aren't telling you to slow down but that the gravity pull from the object slows you down or at least affects the performance of the warp bubble.
