CQC is a lot of fun. The levels dont really mean that much, the balancing is pretty good. There's a whole Discord channel dedicated to ut with a really friendly and helpful bunch of guys in there who are constantly arranging matches (within reasonable times). And just because you won't take the time...

They tweaked the mission system in 2.4 to link then more towards the economy type. Try a different station.
I've also noticed that ship size seems to be more of a factor too. So if your in a small ship, it's worse.
