Re: Engineers 2.1 Beta - findings so far

FDL practically catches fire while fuel scooping now, which coupled with its modest jump range makes travelling even more tedious. Firing a class 4 SCB appears to cause more module damage than before. 4x medium pulses & 1x huge multi does not have heat issues though. FDL with 4x pulses and 1x h...

Re: *BETA* 2.1 Videos

Out of curiosity, why do you pull out of glide like that? The game will complete your glide for you well before you are in danger of hitting the ground.

Cannon projectiles are also reported to have reduced speed. NPCs also spam infinite SCBs, with no negatives. No heat damage, no cooldown, no nothing.

Re: ED Meets the Walking Dead..

I read that custom hud colour setups also effect the portraits, so if run with custom huds you'll have to put up with off-coloured portraits. It does, I saw someone on the official forums post something like that. They had a blue hud, and the people in the portraits looked like smurfs. Here's the p...

Re: Federal Dropship (Going Full Retard)

The Dropship is actually a pretty good combat ship. I was in love with it, even denying the FAS (at least until I gave it a try). I'm in a Python now (Related Thread) . But there are 2 things I miss about the FDS ... That armor and toughness, lasts longer and modules don't dork up sooner The shorte...

Re: Engineers 2.1 Beta - findings so far

I just did a small bit of combat in my FAS. Don't see what all the fuss is about with the new AI, at least in regards to stuff on the official forums. It's an improvement to me. I have also found that I have taken a lot of hull damage compared to what I normally would, but that could do with the new...

Re: Engineers 2.1 Beta - findings so far

Well, when my shields go down I run away. Seems more realistic. Better than just sitting there like a roast on a spit (apparently fixed as well). When my shields go down, I just keep power down my single shield booster and keep engaging them. Hull tank FAS, for reference. Anyone have a run in with ...
