Probably an artifact of the stellar forge, procedural generation throws up some odd results every now and then.

Reminds me of the antics we used to get up to in Planetside 2, it was possible to get a tank from one side of a canyon to the other on the wings of the transport planes, but you didn't have thrusters so jumps we very risky.

HIP 63835 is a great system, should be virtually first on the list of any budding explorer. I generally set myself rules about what to scan, depending upon whether the system has been scanned before and if I bored. Don't go chasing icy balls in the outer regions of a system, they are time consuming ...

I also check where the solid line ends, and make a note of the last scoopable star. But when exploring I am generally full before the scan of the main star completes (that's the advantage of better scoops, but I don't think I've gone any higher than a 6B) and only really check for a sequence of non-...

It was in the dev logs.

No doubt this has been long in the planning, moving from something that works, to something that makes more sense. I expect glitches, revisions, plugged loopholes nd exveything else, but I am still looking forwards to seeing the game evolve in this way.
