Re: Minimum requirements for laptop

gaming on laptops is usually not a good idea anyway.

And don't be impressed by lithography numbers. AMD will always manage to provide 7nm cooking stoves to gamers worldwide :)

Re: Playing 60hz vs 144hz

My 2080 is quiet at 144Hz, and only whines if i disable the framerate limit. Elite is not exactly pushing that type of cards unless you play multi-monitor or VR. And yea i definitely notice the difference between 60 and lotsofhertz. People saying 30 fps is smooth seem to misunderstand the difference...

Re: How to love the Python?

The cockpit is quite bad when it comes to visibility. For a medium ship it's a bit sluggish on the controls, but for cargo and mining, who cares really. The only thing it has over the Krait MK2 is its cargo space (bear in mind i don't do combat). I personally prefer the Krait for the reason Quinnlyn...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

We still managed to make a pretty penny. I banked around 5 millions cr with 10 tons of ore only. Can be really profitable in solo i guess Yeah been doing that on the alt this week. An hours worth of mining would be 120mil easy. Took me a while, but after a few sessions I learned to recognise the go...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

i had that bug yesterday too. refreshing the instance kept giving me the drunk pilot for quite a while. Was mining with two friends who never tried it since chapter 4. We were all 3 in supercruise closing in on our target planet until we all dissapeared from each other's sensors (in wing). Had to dr...

Re: New Rig: GTX vs RTX

My 2080 in elite in 1440 @144Hz is sleeping most of the time. FPS only come down from 144fps close to stars and stations. Honestly even a 1080 is overkill at that kind of resolution. What you may like is to be able to use supersampling and still retain decent stable FPS (and have at last some antial...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

another possibility is to equip your ship with an A class powerplant (already low heat generation) that has some extra power you don't really need, and then engineer it for low emission. Doing that i simply do not take heatsinks anymore as i can faceplant into stars, and jump back without overheatin...
