Re: Some advice on Turrets please

So got myself a corvette and trying out some turreted weapons - slight problem - they just wont fire by themselves. If I set to Fire At will - nothing - unless I manually fire them - which kind of defeats the point. If set to Target Only they will fire on the target - but only if I manually trigger...

Re: What's in a name?

Well this is kind of a loaded question in that it ages me a bit, but seeing as it is my info heading on Steam it is not exactly hidden or secret. "My moniker, Static Radion, comes from a time when spaces and underscores were not allowed in names, dial-up was king, WBS.net offered the unlimited ...

Re: Power Play worth it?

Hello, Pretty much the only reason I pledged to Asiling Duval was for the prismatic shields. Not really into any expansion and control stuff except for the Order. Some people are really into the PP stuff and if you want to be really into it then you've got to check out the sub reddit, the forums, e...

Re: Power Play worth it?

I've been dabbling in power play for the past few weeks... From what I can tell basically in order to achieve/maintain a rank each week you have to earn twice as many merits as your goal rank. So merit retention is hard to see and understand till you have been a part of PP for a while. The thing to...

Re: In game Mobius group accept issues

Why not simply have fdev remove every commander from the group who hasn't played for say six weeks. Would be an interesting experiment. This has been suggested by FDev themselves already. That would have given us a 4 week buffer max. Right now there are almost more new pending than inactive to be r...

Re: Steam. So what is it?

The downside is that Valve take a cut from everything, which can be less than nice for game developers but it has got to the point that if you are not big enough to own your own portal, you have to be on Steam (or possibly GoG, the nearest it has to a rival) to be seen at all. GoG is a marketplace ...

Re: Steam. So what is it?

For the few flaws that steam still has it is the most reputable company out there with a trustworthy DRM and marketplace. It is a topic for another conversation, but the Steam DRM is one of the features that helps to keep the company so strong and allows other marketplaces to sell or give away Steam...

Re: Oculus taking a back seat to Vive at FD?

As for gear vr I have it for my s6. I don't have an S6, but what I do have is an expired contract with verizon that they have been trying to get me to renue for over 2 years and 2 new and unused verizon Moto-E phones. I could easily get a "free" phone that is compatible with the Samsung G...

Re: Oculus taking a back seat to Vive at FD?

Of course this is just hearsay over TS but the rumors suggest the vive will possibly launch with a price point of 1200$. twice that of the rift. Wow, the last I hear the price point was looking like it would be closer to $600. I mean if they want to go the $1200 route I have a feeling there will be...

Re: Oculus taking a back seat to Vive at FD?

Not strange at all because of the success of E:D on Steam. It may have even been part of the contract negotiations when E:D first went to steam. It would not be unheard of for a company to negotiate for a higher percentage in partner sales revenue in return for advertising rights, a promotional part...
