As I'm playing this game while sitting in my recliner, I find my self nodding of during hyperspace jumps and waking up with a jolt and a slight dribble as a giant star crashes into view. I thought the free version was excellent until I went Pro, paying the money made the sound experience better than before. If you can afford the upgrade it's worth it, but there is nothing wrong with the free version also.

At the moment I'm running a Plasma Accelerator and Cannon as primaries. I've got an A rated Cobra, but chasing down a Sidewinder can be fun. Had to change my target reticle from trailing to leading to make life a little easier. Probably not the best setup, but adds a bit of zest to combat.

I find hanging around the Nav Beacon gives a good selection of bad guys to shoot. I'm still experimenting with weapon loadouts for my Cobra, so cannot give you any advice in that department. The best guide for me was to just go out and find something to shoot.
