Re: FSS scanner: want to bookmark planets with found locations

You have to leave FSS, then open System view, set bookmark, leave System view and enter FSS again. FSS doesn't remember your last location, so you need to start from scratch for the bodies not yet located. I.e. leaves room for some improvement to the UI ;)

FSS scanner: want to bookmark planets with found locations

Hi commanders :-)

is there a way to bookmark planets with found locations without leaving the fss scanner? At the moment i'm writing them down (the old way, on a piece of paper ;), but this would be a bit unhandy as soon as i go to play the game in VR mode.

Re: Early exploration questions - all purpose ship / data containers / surface dangers / risk management

If you want to make some first experience I would suggest to have a look at the Diamond Back Explorer as a first exploration vessel. It's cheaper thn the ASPX but reaches a decent jump range of 35 ly's if fitted with 5A FSD (which will be more expensive than the rest of the vessel ;). It has less in...

Re: Any clue which cluster this may be?

Great, thanks a lot for the fast replies. Found it on the galaxy map (just ~ 750 LYs to go) and marked it as next target :-)

Any clue which cluster this may be?

Hi Commanders, i'm on an exploration some 2200 LYs out to the west, heading towards the cave nebula. And since a while i'm spotting a tight cluster of stars when in system view, almost in the same direction (i.e. to west +- some 5 degrees). Unfortunately i cannot find such a cluster in the direction...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Crashing my ASP Exp ... :( At my first "longer" jorney, some 1100 ly out of bubble. Planet with 1.60g - 300 m above ground, no obstacles visible, gear deployed, speed 300 m/s - just started to throttle down before descending - crash and back to home base ... I wonder if this feels like rea...
