Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Just logged in to say Merry Christmas, Mobians.

I haven't played in ages but I keep looking at Obsidian Ant's videos to see how things are going in ED. If they ever hit a balance between new bugs and old bugs I'll give it another go. All the best.

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

I don't look at it as cheating any more than reading a newspaper or looking on Google rather than traveling to the floor of the commodities exchange to check prices. Well first and foremost, each to their own. But for me Elite is pen and paper, building up valuable info while pretending to revise f...

Re: True but sad ~ The story... is TRUE

I'm saying that they do show up when I don't target canisters, he's saying that they won't show up if you don't target canisters. We have had contrary experiences. I have done about twenty million credits worth of recovery missions in the last few days. I reckon that with any ship that can carry an ...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Have you tried looking on eddb or inara? I did in the end but I hate doing that. To me Elite is all about finding sources and good places to sell. Having to use 3rd party databases is cheating, but the game has been cheating me rotten lately so sod it. I am certain that Njiri and Dvorsi both sell t...

Re: Life expectancy

I've lost two well shielded Asps in the last three days if that's any guide.

Oh, and I've got an A-rated FDL sitting in a hangar. It's mothballed until something drastic changes. I'm not paying 4 million credits in insurance just to take the thing for a spin.

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Trying to find Advanced Medicine for an Outbreak mission for the Order in Cardea. None for sale in Dvorsi, Exioce, Njiri or Ngaiawang. The search has cost me 780K in insurance costs and over two hours of unproductive time. Getting pretty cheesed with it now. Edit: Just found some in Wong Guin, Heile...

Re: True but sad ~ The story... is TRUE

Thanks! Will try out. Actually since then I have added 5A power plant and thrusters, and swapped a PD for an A0 shield booster. I did that after getting ganked by a modded Clipper that was after my "tasty cargo" while I was cruising with an empty hold. Two shots to take my 5A, 4-pip shiel...

Hope this works:

Recovery Asp - Coriolis

The ADS isn't essential but vastly speeds up the mission.

Re: True but sad ~ The story... is TRUE

If you drop into the USS and **DON'T SELECT ANYTHING**, drop some collector limpets, pick up everything in the area (discard the trash later) and SC out, the NPC's never come to attack you. Selecting the black box, or other item, is the trigger to send in the NPC's. 100% wrong. I have been d...

Re: True but sad ~ The story... is TRUE

I have been working on a recovery Asp X lately and have pretty much perfected the build. It has no offensive weapons but six mine launchers and four point defense. Factions that you are allied with will pay a fortune for recovered cannisters - ~800K in prosperous systems. But you nearly always get a...
