Re: Power play merits

You receive rank benefits after one week. That 500k reward was from your previous tier. If you are tier 4 this week you'll recieve 5M in the next PP cycle. If you achieve tier 5 during this week you STILL get 5M. By the next cycle you'll receive 50M and so on. Likewise if you drop a tier by next cyc...

Re: The Fer-De-Lance loadout thread: Sluggish or nimble?

All your criticisms of th FdL are valid. Why else would I A-spec my Clipper and Python before considering the FdL? However, I actually enjoy the challenge and micromanaging so much during combat makes the game more fun in my opinion. The Python (and Vulture) is the easy mode. FdL for less boring com...

Re: NASA finds Earth's bigger, older cousin

Hmm. Not searchable. But we do know two things:
1. It's 1400 Ly from Sol
2. It's in the Cygnus constellation

That narrows it down a bit. Now I'm itching to go exploring once again!

NASA finds Earth's bigger, older cousin

Recent discovery by Kepler indicates a possible real life 'Earth-like' called Kepler-452b 1400 Ly from Sol in the Cygnus constellation. I'd like to check this out in game but stuck at work at the moment. Anyone care to visit? I'd be agog if ED even represents that planet let alone be earthlike, wate...

Re: The Fer-De-Lance loadout thread: Sluggish or nimble?

I just did a re-bought an FdL while keeping my A-spec Python. As mentioned earlier it demands more finesse to eek out its maximum potential. With TrackIR the FdL shines since you can keep your target in view most of the time. The Python has very poor visibility in comparison. I use 2 gimbal lasers, ...

Re: Unclaimed Bounties

Combat rank is based on kills whether or not you submit bounties or combat bonds. Your rank is recalculated after each and every kill; however, you may or may not see a percentage increase (rank progression is based on your rank vs opponent rank) Many have had the same problem with cluttered micro b...

Re: Help in fitting an Exploration ASP

For deep space exploration you can't go wrong with an Asp. My first several forays into the deep was with an unarmed Asp. However I'm a combateer at heart. I feel 'wrong' without shields and weapons. Combat fitted DBE is my current explorer of choice. Exploration without fear (with exception of cert...

Re: Stop. Hammer time?

I finally had time to try out the Imperial Hammer and it is the most satisfying fixed hardpoints IMHO.

My Python uses 3 C3 pulse and 2 C2 Imperial Hammers and it simply chews up NPCs. Henceforth I shall dub thee the "Hades' Hammer"

15% off all components and ships at all Li Yong-Rui controlled and exploited systems. This offer is available to everyone. Diaguandri System has the most components so I'd outfit there. Head to LEMBAVA to outfit any remaining components not sold at that station. In regards to the FdL, it is one of t...

Re: Logic problem... Moving ships

Yup. The U-Hauler is your moving van of choice. No way to have your ships moved without you piloting it.

Incredibly annoying and I like to think of it as another mini-game like Towers of Hanoi in space
