Re: Python sucks for combat.

tip for mining, you don't actually have to go into the extraction sites. i usually go somewhere around the ring that's a bit away from any RES's. 99% of the time when doing this i don't see another ship. If you do, just jump out straight away, move round the ring a bit, and drop back in.

Drop into Rafferty's to drop off an OoM mission when Kharma asks me to join him in the bar....

From his parking, think he's had one too many anyway...!

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Just out exploring and stumble across this completely unexplored system. Guess I can take a break from jumping to scan it all down :D (and maybe drop onto a few moon to get pictures / have a bumble around!)

Re: Compromised Nav Beacons

My, sort of in-lore, explanation for Nav Beacons is that they were originally intended to scan ships coming into a system to check for warrants etc and then transmit that data to authorities. They would also update any ships navigation systems with updates to the astronomical situation in the system...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Did your wave scanner work alright ??? I'm having a real prob with mine and signals disappearing.... More so than in beta.... Yeah, the wave scanner seemed to work alright (I didn't have beta access, so don't have any other experience of it). My haul from my first SRV trip was: Iron x12, Nickel x12...

Re: What are you doing (ingame) now?

Successful first landing, and a nice haul of materials from my jaunt around whilst mapping the 360 controller for the SRV.

Picked up a surface mission to deliver some stuff, and went out for a drive. On the way back to my ship I noticed this view :)

"A watched pot never boils" which must be a confirmation of the Hawthorne Effect "a form of reactivity in which subjects modify an aspect of their behavior, in response to their knowing that they are being studied"
