With 2.1 my current Python build for running missions is proving too much for me to handle. Facing off against deadly opponents in ships that easily outmaneuver my ship, I currently lack the skill to fight them off.
So while in the meantime I'm brushing up my fighting skills in a ship that's actually purpose build, I want to try and find a setup for my Python to start using that again as my main mission ship.
I need:
- quite a bit of space for those large transport jobs, the Python fits that nicely with around 128T
- enough firepower to fight off low to medium skilled attacks, I've learned to run from attacks by ships that are above my capability
- enough lasting power to make it out of hairy situations, SCB and eventually armor reinforcements
- equipment to deal with most of the types of missions, apart from assassination really
- has to carry a vehicle bay for surface missions
So this is what I might try:
Mission PythonDoes anyone have any ideas on this build, what to change, what would work better. I know how to high wake, need a bit of practise with the FAoff and boost technique, but am aware of it.
I can afford the rebuy on this ship 15-times over, although I'm not really looking forward to using those.
Alternatively I can stick with my combat ship and use that for missions instead, or even use smaller ships like the Asp or Viper and Cobra IV, but the Python used to be nigh on perfect for that role.
